Our Doctor
DR. KRISTINA

Hello!
First of all, let me say THANK YOU so much for visiting our page. We hope you are finding the information on our site valuable and if there are any questions here that aren’t answered, please reach out to us directly at the office… I would love to have a chat with you!
A little about me… I am a Cleveland native and a mom of two amazing little kids, Kaia and Leo, who are the light of my life. It was actually these two little humans that got me interested and involved in the world of sleep. What further intensified my desire to get involved in the disciplines of sleep and pain was my own struggles and healing journey after suffering with my TMJ and Sleep issues. Oftentimes, I ended up with more questions than answers when seeking help with my own issues. This led me on an intensive dive into the worlds of dental sleep medicine, craniofacial pain, TMJ disorders, as well as, breathwork and breathing techniques, nutrition and supplementation, cardiac coherence, vagal tone, tethered oral tissues, myofunctional therapy, as well as many other modalities.
Beside my practice, I am also a professor at my Alma Mater, Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, where I teach the sciences including Anatomy, Physiology, and Neuroscience. I received my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from CWRU, as well as a Masters of Science (MS) in Applied Anatomy. I ADORE teaching and I believe that skill set is what is most important in my practice—teaching my patients about their conditions and educating them on the path to healing and wellness. In addition to dentistry, being a professor, a mom, and a wife, I also have a passion for fitness and dance. I love to run and be in nature, I enjoy participating in CrossFit, Pilates and Yoga and have recently taken up Latin dancing!! I look forward to working with you and meeting you soon!

As I continued submersing myself into this specialty, I was able to share this knowledge with my private practice patients, until I ultimately decided that I no longer wanted to practice general dentistry and that I wanted to focus my efforts solely in sleep, pain and breathing disorders in adults and children. My continued efforts and work led me to the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of Cleveland, which I am so proud and thankful to be able to help so many patients with their problems. And even more, I am honored that in this practice I get to partner with my husband, Lucas, who is an orthodontist that has vast subspecialty training in dentofacial orthopedics. Not only are we extremely well equipped to assist adults in their healing journeys, but we can help kids at a very young age so that they can reach their full potential by ensuring they are getting proper sleep and have adequate craniofacial growth to assist them in leading their best life.
As well as the work we do together, we also partner with different medical and dental professionals in the community, including ENT’s, Sleep physicians, physical therapists, myofunctional therapists, neurologists, among others, to help guide our patients to their ultimate destination of health and wellness. The focus for us in on TOTAL BODY HEALTH AND WELLNESS, and this means working in conjunction with others who can help our patients achieve their wellness victory. I have professional associations with the American Dental Association, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, American Academy of Physiologic Medicine and Dentistry and I am a Qualified Dentist with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
